What is SayBriefly?

SayBriefly turns your meetings and email into tasks and catches scope creep for freelancers and studios. It captures your calls, reads the email you connect, and ties everything to the right project.

What platforms does SayBriefly support?

The desktop app runs on macOS 12 Monterey or later (Apple Silicon and Intel) and on Windows 10 and 11. The Chrome extension works in Chrome and Brave. There is also a web workspace at app.saybriefly.com.

How do I install the Chrome extension?

Install SayBriefly from the Chrome Web Store, then sign in with the same account you use in the desktop app. The extension reads your Gmail in the browser, so you never grant Gmail access to a third-party app.

Does SayBriefly read my emails?

Yes, the email you connect. The Chrome extension reads Gmail in your browser and sends each email to our AI to summarise it, sort it, and find tasks and scope changes. The email and its summary are stored in your workspace. Details are in our privacy policy.

What data is stored on your servers?

Your workspace content: emails you connect and their summaries, meeting transcripts and notes, projects, briefs, and your to-do list. Meeting audio is deleted after the transcript is made. See the privacy policy for the full list and our AI providers.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account to permanently remove all your data from our servers. Email [email protected] if you need help.

Why does the extension need access to mail.google.com?

The extension reads your Gmail tab instead of asking for Gmail OAuth access, so you never hand your whole mailbox to a third-party app. The emails it reads are summarised by our AI.

The extension isn't showing any emails. What's wrong?

Make sure you're signed in to the same account in the extension and the desktop app. Open Gmail in a tab, then click the SayBriefly extension icon to trigger a sync. If the issue persists, email us at [email protected].

Does the extension work without the desktop app?

Email recaps and priority tagging work with the extension and the web workspace. Meeting capture and dictation need the desktop app.

How does meeting capture work?

SayBriefly detects when your microphone is active during a call and automatically starts capturing. You see a live transcript during the call. When it ends, your notes, summary and action items are ready in about a minute, and the transcript is polished in the background with who said what.

How do I use dictation?

Double-tap either Shift key to start dictating. Speak naturally and SayBriefly types what you said wherever your cursor is. Double-tap Shift again to stop.

Meeting capture isn't working. What should I check?

Make sure the SayBriefly desktop app has microphone and Screen Recording permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security. These are required for capture to work. Restart the app after granting permissions.

Is SayBriefly free?

Every new account can try the full app free, no card needed. After that, Solo is $14 a month and Studio is $29 a seat. Details are on the pricing page.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → Billing in the desktop app, or email [email protected] and we'll cancel immediately.
